For all of us, the welcoming of a new baby into the family is a happy and joyful occasion.

At Holy Trinity we enjoy sharing that happiness by offering the service of baptism for the baby and their families. This usually happens during the 10am main service on any given Sunday. It is a time when the community can come together to welcome the new person and for us all to give thanks to God for their life. During the service the family have the opportunity to promise that they wish their child to be brought up to follow the teachings of Jesus.

We can also celebrate the arrival of a baby with a service of Thanksgiving and Blessing. This service is often held separately from the main service, during which we give thanks to God for your child and their new and precious life.

Of course Baptism can happen at any time of life and we welcome adults of any age to make a commitment to the Christian faith through the sacrament of Baptism.

If you wish to discuss either a baptism or a service of thanksgiving please contact the Rector, Rev Canon Liz O’Ryan:
