This was much enjoyed with many people contributing to the different events including:-
A well-attended Advent discussion group; Advent itself, the making of Christingles; a packed out crib service on Christmas Eve (over 300 people), complete with donkeys and a real – and very well behaved – baby; and Midnight Mass. On Christmas day itself, our beloved Rector surpassed herself with an address which cast the congregation as Nativity Players and had everyone singing along to an inspired retelling of the Christmas story, complete with Satnav and the Bethlehem Travel Lodge! After services, refreshments included shortbread, mince pies, sherry and mulled wine with lots of fellowship.
Donations were collected which raised £1600.00 for Riding for the Disabled based at Muirfield and Ark Christian Aid Ministry.
