Prayer Pointers for April 2023

PRAYER POINTERS FOR APRIL 2023

 

 Week Beginning: Sunday 26th March – The Church of Christ

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

Pray for the worldwide Church and those who proclaim the gospel throughout the world

Pray for all clergy especially we remember Primus Mark, Bishop John, Rev Liz, Canon John and Sandra our Lay Reader

Pray thy will be done, not mine

Maranatha:  Come Lord Jesus

 

 Week Beginning: Sunday 2nd April – Creation, human society, the Sovereign and those in authority

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” Gen1:31

Let us give thanks for all that is good.

For the colours of Spring and promise of new growth

For the kindness of others and the blessings we take for granted

For Lord Jesus, the bringer of wise counsel to all those in authority

Lord hear us, Lord graciously hear us

 

Week Beginning: Sunday 9th  April – The Local Community

Easter Sunday: Alleluia He has Risen

15th April Baptism Oliver & Stuart Cornes

“Love your neighbour as yourself.” Mark 12:31

Pray for our blue light services: paramedics, police and firefighters

For all those who give service to others in the local community

For the neighbours you find hard to love

Lord in your mercy: hear my prayer.

 

 Week Beginning: Sunday 16th April – Those who Suffer

“But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction.” Job 36:15

Remember those people known to you and those unknown:

those who may be suffering physically, mentally or spiritually.

those suffering from loss and grief

those suffering from conflict and living in need

Loving God may all who are suffering feel your comforting presence.

 

 Week Beginning: Sunday 23rd April – The communion of saints

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” John 14:3 – 4

Remember all believers, those believers who came before us and those believers who will come after us.

Pray for Christian’s around the world

For those Christian’s persecuted for their faith

For our Church family and local churches
