Handbells

Holy Trinity Handbells was formed in 1988 with a 2-octave set of second-hand English handchimes.  With much fundraising effort and a grant from Awards for All, the band now possesses a 3-octave set of American Malmark handbells.

Ringing in-hand from staff notation, the band meets in the Trinity Centre Meeting Room on Monday afternoons.  Holy Trinity Handbells is often represented at the Handbell Ringers of Great Britain Scottish Region Spring and Autumn Rallies and have themselves hosted a number of regional events.

Other activities include accompanying worship in Holy Trinity Church, entertaining group meetings, fundraising for charities (ChildLine, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Teenage Cancer Trust, Gullane Day Centre, to name but a few), public concerts, making merry music and eating chocolates!
