St Andrew’s Night!
What a fun night! It was a truly traditional evening of music, dancing and people doing ‘turns’ as they offered their talent for the enjoyment of others. Stewart brilliantly compered the evening with his usual humour and a hearty meal of stovies and wonderful oatcakes was served. The dancing saw a sprightly Noel trying out his dancing shoes, and a mixture of chaos and knowledge of steps filled the floor! The singing saw Phil make his debut playing and singing two songs with Stewart, whist Joan held the audience spell bound with two traditional songs. Andrew and Annie rounded off the evening with a medley of well known tunes to which we all joined in. Naomi gave a rendition of Arthur and the Lion in memory of her father, and Jan’s three piece music ensemble played some wonderful pieces.
Thank you to all who came, who organised and all who took part! Here’s to next year!
