On the 10th May Members from congregations throughout Edinburgh Diocese met to celebrate, bringing posters with us to show what we saw as important gifts in our churches. At the end of the day a representative from each congregation was presented with a candle on which was written the prayer for discernment as we look for a priest to replace Bishop John as he prepares to retire at the end of August. The event was thoroughly enjoyed and the weather stayed fine enough for us to partake in a picnic lunch outside the cathedral.
